Nrf2 regulates more than 600 of our genes - 100 of which are encoded for cytoprotective proteins, helping to increase metabolisation + removal of toxins, lower oxidative stress and maintain cellular homeostasis, aka, the ability for cells to maintain internal stability regardless of external changes.
Sulforaphane is one of the most potent, naturally-occurring activators of our bodies' Nrf2 pathway, often regarded as "the master antioxidant switch, the activator of cellular defence and the key to health + longevity."
Thanks to the discovery of the Nrf2 pathway, we now hold the power to indirectly amplify our bodies' cellular defence systems.
With over 5,000 studies and papers published on the topic, Nrf2 pathway activation is crucial for our bodies to effectively cope with internal and external stressors, including inflammatory, oxidative + environmental stressors.

Current legislation prevents us from showcasing, on this page, many of sulforaphane's most powerful benefits, especially for specific health issues. We recommend viewing our list of independent studies and trials and then returning to this page for further reading.
Independent studies and trials from around the globe have showcased sulforaphane's incredible benefits, both for general health and for specific ailments.
Sulforaphane is a natural compound belonging to a plant-based group of disease-fighting phytochemicals known as isothiocyanates, and is found in cruciferous vegetables, such broccoli, cabbage, kale and most abundantly in broccoli sprouts.
Sulforaphane first rose to prominence in 1992 when isolated as a potential "cancer-fighting compound" by a team of scientists at the Johns Hopkins University led by renowned pharmacologist Paul Talalay.
The discovery gained worldwide media attention, with stories such as that seen in the New York Times' "Potent Chemical To Fight Cancer Seen In Broccoli."
Since then, studies and trials have been conducted around the world on sulforaphane, broccoli sprouts + their incredible effects.
Broccoli sprouts are the most abundant natural-source of sulforaphane, yielding up to 100x more sulforaphane than mature broccoli.
However, getting enough sulforaphane from just eating broccoli sprouts to make any profound impact requires a lot of effort and a very large appetite.
Breeding + growing broccoli sprouts often requires several hours of work each week.
Furthermore, you'll need to consume up to 6 cups a day, raw. Heating (cooking) broccoli sprouts deactivates the two precursors that produce sulforaphane: the myrosinase enzyme and glucoraphanin compound.
Attempt to obtain sulforaphane from broccoli sprouts yourself, every day, and it quickly becomes a time-consuming and expensive hobby. If that's your thing, more power to you... But if you're like most people, you probably don't want to spend a quarter of each day cultivating and consuming raw broccoli.
We sure didn't, and that's why we created Sulfora®.
Sulfora® contains 100% whole broccoli sprout powder optimised by an expert team for a high sulforaphane yielding.
Notice the word *whole?* That means actual broccoli sprouts, not some cheap extract.
Utilising an innovative hydro-organic growth + production process, Sulfora® is one of the richest and most convenient sources of sulforaphane currently available.
Sulfora® flavoured editions produce a sulforaphane yield equal to approx. 3 full cups of raw broccoli sprouts, whereas Sulfora® Natural produces almost double this amount.
On top of the high sulforaphane yield, it's unbelievably easy to consume. Simply mix a sachet of Sulfora® Natural in a smoothie or juice of your choice (or water if you can bare the taste of raw broccoli sprout powder!)
Oh, you're on the go? No worries. Sulfora® flavoured-editions not only taste incredible, but are designed to be mixed with just water.
Now, we can say all of this, but what do our actual customers have to say? See for yourself.
